Medical Services Plan - MSP Coverage

For those with MSP supplementary benefits (previously known as Premium Assistance), you may qualify for partial coverage. On your first appointment, you will need to pay the full visit fee. Please inform the front desk of your MSP eligibility during your initial visit. Upon confirmation of your coverage, we can begin billing MSP directly for a portion of your subsequent visits.

Under MSP supplementary benefits, you may be eligible for up to $23.00 for a maximum of 10 visits annually, covering a combination of services. You will be responsible for the remaining balance of our regular visit fee.  If you have used healthcare services elsewhere in BC during the year and used your MSP benefits, you may not have the full 10 visits of coverage left by the time you visit our office.


Extended Health Care

We are pleased to offer direct billing on behalf of our Practice Members. If you would like us to bill on your behalf, please bring your insurance information with you to your first appointment.  Please note that on rare occasions, your insurance provider may require you to submit on your own for your first, or all of your regular visits. Your insurance provider may also require you to pay in full for your visits and they will reimburse you instead of our office.  We will be able to quickly let you know at your first visit if this is the case, but cannot provide this information until your appointment. 

If you are concerned about this, you can find your submission information, coverage details, and more in your provider portal through your insurance carrier. 

As personal information is confidential, we cannot access details about your specific coverage or limits. It is essential to consult your plan administrator to determine your eligibility for reimbursement. Insurance coverage varies depending on the carrier and policy. You can find more information in your insurance policy booklet or through your employer's HR department.

The only information we will be able to provide you at each visit about your insurance, if we are billing on your behalf, is what percentage or dollar amount was covered at each visit.

We can only direct bill for your primary insurance. If you have secondary coverage, you may need to submit the remaining amount yourself.

Required information from you:

  • Your Provider's name, Policy, and ID Number.

  • Your status on the policy - Primary vs. Dependent

  • If you are the Dependent on the policy then we will require the Primary person’s Full Name and Date of Birth.
